This Privacy Policy explains how Dealerstock collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you or your dealership use our web-based software-as-a-service platform (“Service”) and our public website, getdealerstock.com.
Dealerstock is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).By using our Service or website, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to:
-Authorized users of the Dealerstock platform (dealership employees and administrators).
-Dealership data entered into the platform (inventory, customer details, etc.).
-Visitors to our public marketing website (getdealerstock.com).
It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or APIs that are integrated with Dealerstock. These external services have their own privacy policies.
We collect information in three primary ways: (1) information you provide, (2) information dealerships input about their customers, and (3) technical and analytical information collected automatically.
3.1 Information from Dealerships and Users
When a dealership signs up for Dealerstock, we collect:
-Dealership name and business address
-User name, job title, and role (e.g., manager, salesperson, inventory staff)
-User contact details (email, phone number)
-Login credentials (email address; passwords are encrypted and never visible to Dealerstock)
-Communications with Dealerstock support or administration
3.2 Information from Dealership Customers
Dealerships may enter their own customer data into the platform, such as:
-Customer name, phone number, and email address.
-Vehicle interests or wishlist details.
-Notes, appointment details, or related sales activity.
Dealerstock does not use or market to these customers directly. Dealerships remain the sole owners and controllers of their customer data. Dealerstock processes this data only to provide the platform’s functionality.
3.3 Technical and Usage Information
When users access the Service or website, we may automatically collect limited technical information, including:

-Browser type, device type, and operating system.
-Date, time, and duration of access.
-Interactions within the platform (e.g., pages viewed).

We do not use analytics tracking inside the secure Dealerstock web app itself.

Deaelrships determine what customer data is entered into Dealerstock and how it is used.

Dealerstock does not independently collect, use, or share dealership customer data beyond what is necessary to operate the platform.
We may share limited information in the following circumstances:
Service Providers:
With trusted third parties that assist us in operating the platform (e.g., hosting, email delivery, data storage). These providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements.
Third-Party Integrations:
The platform may connect with APIs (e.g., VIN decoders, PDF processors, or email systems). Data shared with these integrations is limited to what is necessary for functionality, and subject to their respective privacy terms.
Legal Requirements:

Dealerships may request data export or deletion at any time. Upon account termination, Dealerstock may retain limited backup copies for disaster recovery for a defined retention period (typically 30–90 days) before permanent deletion.

-Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
-Restricted data access based on user role.

Dealerstock sends transactional emails only, such as onboarding, password reset, or system updates.
We use Loops (loops.so) as our secure third-party email delivery provider.
We do not send marketing or promotional emails at this time.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data.
